Introductory Photo Essay
I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico- home of the International Balloon Fiesta. For my college decision I chose to leave the desert behind and give the Lone Star State a try, I was one of only five students to attend TCU in 2011 from the entire state of New Mexico.
Even though I could not be happier about my decision to leave The Land of Enchantment and move to Texas, I love coming home and spending time with my little brother Cody and my parents. My family is a very important part of my life: our family has always been very close and I am so blessed to have them all in my life constantly showing me endless love and support.
I am a proud member of the Gamma Psi chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta here at TCU. Through my involvement and membership in such a wonderful sisterhood, I have gained so many important relationships and experiences I am so grateful for. Theta supports and encourages me to be the best woman I can be, and has provided me with such a positive group of women I can always count on and know are always there for me.
One of my favorite times during the year at TCU is the annual lighting of the Christmas tree ceremony held in the Commons. The lighting up of campus with Christmas lights and the Christmas tree, in addition to hot coco, Christmas music, and even reindeer, truly puts the Horned Frog community in the holiday spirt.
TCU has provided me with a place to call my second home. A place where it is almost impossible not to be happy and grateful for such an amazing opportunity. A place where there is always constant and spontaneous fun to be had. And a place that, yes, learning is conducted at, but also where smiles are created and happiness is achieved. I believe the true key to success is being happy both when you go to sleep at night and when you wake up in the morning- TCU has been an environment for me that facilitates this mentality and has provided me with truly so much happiness in the last two years I have attended.
